The Less you Care, The Happier you'll Become

Are you a person who cares too much?

For as long as I can remember, I've always put my faith into other people and 9 times out of 10 I get let down. I've had to let go of so many people over the years because they just haven't been healthy for me. When you live with mental health, sometimes you have to adjust yourself and your life to help you get better. Sometimes, the people around you can affect you more than you want them to and the only way is sometimes to distance yourself and let go.

You become like the ones you choose to associate with and that couldn't more true!!



Throughout my life I haven't and still don't deal well with disappointment and it can at times make me really ill. I don't know why I'm like this and I've never come across anyone else like this. If you're like this then please let me know I'm not the only one!!

I take everyone else's problems, opinions and everything upon my shoulders and I take everything so personal and to heart and it sits on my chest for days and days. The only way I can get rid of the feeling is to vent by speaking to someone I trust or writing it all down.

The problem is, I really do care. I care what people think of me, I care how people perceive me and I care about what people have to say. It can really dictate my life, thoughts and actions.

So this is the advice I'm giving out to myself or anyone who is like me...

Stop relying on other people, because as sad as this is, in this life the only person you can fully count on most is yourself. You will get misunderstood, judged and let down more times than you can imagine.

If you're lucky enough to find just one person though whose thoughts and opinions line up with yours then grab them with both of your sassy hands and never let them leave your side! I luckily do have that person, she's my best mate and I'm marrying her.

The less you care, the happier you'll become.

That's not an easy quality to have when you're a person who holds their heart on their sleeve but it is something you can work on.

Trust your instincts, do what you know is right and try not to care - because I can guarantee most people don't, so why should you?

Just wanted to put this out there so if you do feel like this, you are not alone.
